History of the Agadir football Team: Hassania Union Sport Agadir
The club competed for the semi-final of the Moroccan Cup of the Throne in the season 1998/1999 and was classified 5th of the championship during the season 1999/2000. It also competed for the semi-final of the Cup of the Throne during the season 2000/2001 and won the Championship of Morocco of football twice, in 2001-2002 and 2002-2003.
Al Inbiaate Stadium
The stadium Al Inbiaatewas built in the sixties and have up to 10 000 seats. It welcomes varied sports as football or athletics.It is the only stadium in Morocco with a synthetic lawn, done in 2008. But it still didn’t respect the FIFA international standards.
Adrar stadium
The Adrar stadium is the new sports stadium in the city of Agadir. It is located on the road around the city urban center. It is licensed to welcome FIFA football matches. There are 45,480 seats.
SaadBenkirane, a Moroccan architect and Vittorio Gregotti, an Italian one, were selected in the international competition launch in 1999 to build the stadium. The estimated cost of construction is 860 millions dirhams. Work began in June 2004. The National Sports Development Fund, the state and local authorities contributed to give money for the financing.Originally scheduled in late 2007 with the aim of organizing the 2010 World Cup in Morocco, the stadium was finally built in 2013 and welcomed the FIFA World Cup for clubs.
